The State Cyber Protection Center of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP) has received equipment and software from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through USAID’s Cybersecurity Activity. This aid has strengthened substantially SSSCIP’s operation.
The first batch includes server equipment for the vulnerability detection and cyber attack response system for the State Cyber Protection Center. This will help the Center to detect vulnerabilities faster and respond to cyber threats more efficiently.
The second part of support helps to improve the National Center for Public Information Resources Backup’s information and communications systems. This will ensure improved reliability of storing important state information and a more stable operation of critical infrastructure.
In addition, the Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine CERT-UA has received specialised software for:
l Faster detection of new cyber threats
l Better cyber incident analysis
l Prompt informing of public authorities and critical infrastructure objects about possible threats
The aid obtained from the USAID Cybersecurity Activity will enable Ukraine to better protect itself from cyber attacks and recover faster.
