The Cyber Training Center
The Cyber Training Center conducts cyber exercises for cybersecurity specialists, information security incident response teams of state authorities, relevant sectors of the economy, including energy, telecommunications, finance, etc., as well as personnel responsible for the cyber security of critical infrastructure.
Cyber exercises are conducted in either in-person or online mode, in accordance with the cyber exercise programs (in short, the programs). The maximum number of trainees in a group is 10.
Topics of cyber exercises:
Cybersecurity incident response training (3 programs)
Trainees are practicing the sequence of actions during the response to cyber incidents/cyber-attacks in a realistic cyber range environment. To acquire knowledge and skills used at the stages of detecting, analyzing, containing cyberattacks, mitigating their consequences and restoring systems after cyberattacks, trainees become familiar with the relevant capabilities of Linux and Windows operating systems, network services, firewalls, investigate anomalous traffic, and use SIEM systems and other network protection systems.
Security assessment training (2 programs)
Students become familiar with the methodologies for assessing the security of information and communication systems and state information resources in information and communication systems. In practice, they perform the procedure of gathering information about the target system, identify and exploit vulnerabilities in information and communication systems, and take actions to eliminate them.
Cybersecurity of Industrial Control Systems training (4 programs)
Trainees become familiar with the features of cybersecurity in industrial control system (ICS) environments. During the cyber exercises, reference models of ICS network architecture (Purdue and ISA/IEC-62443), requirements of cybersecurity standards (NIST CSF, ISA/IEC-62443, CIS controls, ISO 27000 series) are considered. Examples of their practical implementation in the ICS environment are provided through the example of a testbed for critical infrastructure cybersecurity in the energy sector.
Training on Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity (3 programs)
Trainees will gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity, including working with large language models and generative AI. The cyber exercises cover the fundamental principles of AI, methods of applying models, technologies for deploying systems and creating specialized solutions. The training progresses through beginner (concepts and architecture), intermediate (practical application), and professional (advanced AI in cybersecurity) levels.
To participate in cyber exercises, you need to send an official request.
