The Training Cyber Center of the State Cyber Protection Center (SCPC) of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP) has summarized its work for 2024. The Center specializes in training cybersecurity specialists for government agencies and critical infrastructure facilities.
During 2024, 79 training sessions were conducted, attended by 459 participants from 19 organizations. This is the highest performance indicator in the center's history. For comparison: in 2022, 19 training sessions were held for 147 participants, and in 2023 – 47 training sessions for 310 participants.
The Center offers four main training directions:
- Cybersecurity incident response
- Security assessment of information and communication systems
- Cybersecurity of industrial control systems
- Artificial intelligence technologies in information and cyber security
During the training sessions, specialists develop practical skills on a realistic cyber range. They learn to detect cyberattacks, analyze them, prevent their spread, and mitigate consequences. Special attention is paid to the protection of industrial control systems. Participants study international cybersecurity standards and their practical implementation using a test bench for critical infrastructure enterprises in the energy sector.
Training is conducted both in-person and remotely. For maximum effectiveness, groups are limited to no more than 10 people.
As we reported earlier, at the beginning of this year, the Center successfully launched a new training course on using artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. Future plans include expanding the course program and implementing a specialized educational platform using generative AI technologies.
Cybersecurity specialists from government authorities, energy companies, telecommunications, financial sector, and other critical infrastructure facilities can participate in the training. To participate in the training, an official request must be submitted. For more detailed information, please contact: training@cip.gov.ua.
