Ukrainian team Netflix&Chill came second in the overall rating of the competition held as part of the cyber training on critical infrastructure protection that took place on February 5 to 9, 2024, in Warsaw, Poland. The team consisted of specialists of the SSSCIP State Cyber Protection Center.
The gold prize went to a team from Estonia, the bronze one to Poland. A total of 16 teams from Germany, Albania, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Moldova, and Romania took part in the competition.
The cyber training has also ensured in-depth study of targeted attacks against critical infrastructure facilities in the energy sector, identification of exchange indicators, and targeted strategies for mitigation and prevention of cyberattack impact to the energy sector.
The training was conducted in the train-the-trainers format. Such an approach enables the trainees to share the gained knowledge with their colleagues as well as to enhance cyber resilience of Ukrainian critical infrastructure operators’ employees.
“Combining training and competition results in a wonderful format that lets our specialists prove themselves, gain new knowledge, and then share it with their colleagues. I am grateful to our partners form the U.S. and Poland who organize and invite us to such competitions,” said Oleksii Dorofieiev, the SCPC Chief.
The cyber training was organized by the Digitalization Ministry of the Republic of Poland, Research and Academic Computer Network (NASK), and the Office of the Chief Information Officer, U.S. Department of Energy.
